I started to put together a fractional type set a while ago but got a bit side tracked after a short time. I discovered that there were uncut bits and pieces of fractionals as they were apparently sent to banks in a box full of sheets and were simply hand cut once there. I've heard they are fairly rare but I've never been able to pinpoint just HOW rare, so I invite anyone with uncut fractionals to post any info as well as any pics of their own uncut notes.

Are these yours? If so, I'm amazingly jealous!

Smaller uncut portions like you posted can be picked up on Heritage quite frequently. I have seen a few full sheets but they are usually sold in bigger auctions. They can in deed bring quite a price!
    Nice notes though!

Dr Kegg: yep, these are mine. I picked them up a couple of years ago when I first learned of such a thing.

JHinton: I'll have to go and take a peek at Heritage and see what they've offered recently. I got each for less than $100 but I've never seen them go for anywhere near that since. They're great little pieces but I fear I'm too much of a cheapskate to afford any more.

Thanks for the replies you two!

Those are definitely nice acquisitions. We see quite a few of the regular small sized uncut sheets, but to find fractionals is even more interesting.

If you got those two for under $100, you did well. Nice pick-ups!
