Has anybody ever bought these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=360126563398 I offered $2 bucks each and got 5. Is this a scam? It was free shipping BTW.
Not realy a scam but you are taking pot luck, if the seller has removed any obviously damaged ones then you might end up with a couple of nice roman. The thing is if they are heavily encrusted then he has as much idea as you do as to what the coin will look like LOL Dont expect to find gold or silver but you can have fun cleaning them :kewl:
They are probably genuine, as for the quality of the coins, that remains to be seen once you get them. This claim is made by many sellers and is probably false: SOMEONE FOUND GOLD
From what alot of people tell me, you can get some nices ones, or at least honest one from http://nobleromancoins.com/ though I havent got anything from him yet, but I plan too.I'm sure people will post other good sources.
commonbronze also has very good coins. The selections better than the quality, but the quality is still miles better than ebay.
I was told by a gentleman that used to deal with a lot of the bulk suppliers of these that the lots are x rayed and all gold and silver removed before packaging them for sale to dealers. Richard
