I've been slowly going from my world coin collecting to ancient world coins. I've gotten hooked on Greek and Greek City States and Colonies. Many of the ones I lust after have to be bought over time, so I've been thinking about getting some uncleaned coins to work on between purchases. I hope to get some inputs on honest sellers and perhaps some hints or suggestions on the process. I don't expect to stike gold or great rarities. But I would like to get some coins with good enough detail to attribute them. Any help will be gratefully accepted. JonySky

If you go to: http://www.vcoins.com/ search the ancient coins category for 'uncleaned' and a bunch will pop up. The dealers on this site are reputable as far as I can tell, I've bought from nemesis before and did not get a single blank slug, nearly all were attributable. I've looked on eBay for uncleaned lots and noticed that its really hit or miss, checking feedback is a must.
