I've been recently told (and checked out for myself) that the U.S. Mint does not sell uncirculated silver eagles to the public. My question is "How do dealers get them and do banks sell the current year?" My proof set is now up to date and decided to get started on the uncirculated coins. I've seen pretty good deals on ebay but as one would figure, the shipping can zap you good. All responses welcomed and appreciated.
Unc silver eagles are NOT sold to the general public.. if you are an AUTHORIZED dealer registered with the mint, you can order unc silver eagles to sell. Banks do not get them because they are not circulated coins - they are bulion. hope this helps ...
You can buy unc silver eagles alot of places other then e-bay. Try any gold and silver exchange web site or bid.com which has free shipping on alot of items or any large coin dealer will have them.
