So I'm new too numismatics and I just went to the bank and asked for four rolls of pennies, well I got four rolls of uncirculated new pennies which is not but I paid for them so oh well. Is there a use for searching through rolls of new uncirculed pennies? Do people try and find error's or doubled dies? and how often does somebody find an error and/or doubled die on new pennies?

Please forgive me for these noobie questions I'm new to this and would appreciate all the advice I can get.

Bust 'em open and look for errors. Strike-throughs, clipped planchets, etc.

If you really wanna keep a roll, knock yourself out... but they're pretty plentiful, so they're really only worth face.

Oh so I should just spend mine. I only kept them cause I thought they might gain value.

    Never happening.

Well, maybe not until the GSA finds boxes in original rolls in 60-80 years.

I just counted and I have uh...$11 in Paper Money, $20 in Cents I need to dump, and like $20 in boring junk silver! :) So that's about $50! :)

I wish! LOL! No, its the melt value of them all! I will cash some of my silvers, or trade them to complete some other sets, and will get back to those sets! :) I am going to buy a Cherrypickers guide! Woo! I am also going to get some coins and stuff! :)
