uncirculated or not 1943 war silver nickel double eye or not

    This is a 1943 silver war nickel wat is it worth if it is uncirculated or in its condition and is that the double eye error if so wat is it worth

    Need better picture and in its condition the worth is Melt about $1.59 heavily cleaned and yes heavy wear from being circulation

    Are u sure because I found it on the web for a lot more and if it is the error one then significantly more

    if it is the double eye variety, then you should be able to see doubling in other areas, In God We Trust and the date. We need better pictures to see.

    If it's not the variety I'd say it's worth about 80% of melt (war nickels sell below melt because they are very difficult to refine the silver from). Your nickel is a common date and is pretty worn and polished, which removes any collectible value from it.

    The coin is heavily circulated and shows evidence of having been buffed/cleaned. It is worth its weight in melt value, but do not expect to get that much since folks do not always like to pay even melt value for war nickels.

    Well circulated and polished. Uncirculated nickels are never shiny, its more of a matte finish.
