An old couple from Germany is interested in selling a rather large lot of German 1914-1918 (Berlin Mint) 1/2 mark coins. All coins are definitely uncirculated. Can anyone give me any guidance on what these coins are worth in the market place. Coins are raw. I want to give a fair price but have some room to make a fair profit.

These coins are not rare in uncirculated....I think a good price would be 3-4 Dollars a piece.

I've seen these coins are from the Berlin mint....these are often encountered....so a price of 2.50 a piece would be fair for both.

These have high catalog values but beware that they are quite common and Krause can't price their way out of a paper bag.

I think I'd feel comfortable paying $5 for nice gemmy examples (many are) but figiure less on common dates and much less if there's the slightest sign of wear or rub.

I used to be able to get about this and it's unlikely they're worth any less today.

I'm in the $3-4 as though these are cool coins they are fairly common . Maybe a dealer will tell you what they'd pay , but I have a feeling of melt or below .
