First of all, not a Morgan. 2nd of all, probably a way to separate honest people from their money. 3rd of all, no way I'd bite on this offering......
For those who have not studied early U.S. dollars, the only early piece that the bust of Liberty too far to the left was dated 1795. If it's dated 1796, it's a counterfeit. All of the others were centered properly like this 1795. Another "tell" as someone else pointed out, are the "vampire marks" on the neck. If you buy a Bust Dollar with two marks under Ms. Liberty's jaw, you have been bitten and your bank account has been drained.
I tried to set up an account JUST to say it wasn't a morgan. (Mercari isn't available in my region? That's a first.) And when I saw @johnmilton 's post: it had every conceivable red flag known to a coin seller. I really hope someone doesn't buy it or sees the comments made on it and does just a 30 second internet search to see it isn't even a Morgan.
