Sure a proof coin can be uncirculated. It can't be a business strike. :)

Nice cent but I'm not sure it is a proof. Any more images?

The edges look chamfered as a business strike, have a photo of the edge?

Most proof coins are uncirculated, but most uncirculated coins are NOT proofs... hmmmmmm

I might have not stated this in my opening description. I'm sure you've heard of a little business called Littleton Coin Co. Well, it was in one of their packets and the packet was torn slightly, just a small hole. I took it out to place in hard plastic protector because I didn't want the chance of the hole getting bigger and the coin falling out. So, I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt because the lack of information. Idhair and Desertgem, I'd like to thank you for being reasonable and wanting to look into it further by asking for more images. image.jpg

I'm still learning. I know that the regular cent is given an uncirculated grade due to the wear on the coin. The reason I stated that uncirculated is because this coin is in excellent condition. I may be a little uneducated about coin collecting. So, if a coin, proof, is taken out of its original holder, used to buy something, put into circulation, how would it be graded if it was still in prestige condition?

    PR-50 or PR-58.

The pictures don't show the details of this coin. The lighting is off and inadequate. I seriously doubt this coin would grade that low. There's no evidence of use, no hint of minor wear. If you would see this coin in person, I'd bet you would change your opinion.

I was not grading your coin. I was just saying what the grade could possibly be if it had been put in circulation. Just an answer to the question you posted.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. Took it a little wrong.
