Can you post the size and weight ? It's an ECU coin (from France), but cannot tell the denomination without the measures.

    Hi!
I know that's a 1/12 ECU. My problem is, that i have not found this coin. There is a different text on the back.
    21mm x 22mm, 2.23g

Having a better look at the year the last digit doesn't look like a "0".

    Could be 1666 or 1668 ?

The only thing that makes any sense is that it is a fake of some sort. No coin of Louis XIIII ever had that reverse. Even a jeton would not have that obv and rev paired.

It is the obv of a 1/2 ecu au buste juvenile of Louis XIIII paired with the rev of a 1/2 ecu of Guillermo Henry of Orange.

    Goossen: It is absolutely 1660.
GDJMSP: I've thought about it. But it is made of silver with very good quality. And it is interesting, that the creator of this coin in 1660 did not realise that this coin has a different reverse.
Are you sure, that it's fake?
Thanks for the help, by the way. :)

No, of course I'm not sure that it's fake. But I am sure that neither France nor Sardinia would couple a coin of theirs with the reverse of a coin from an entirely different country.

So what else could it be but a fake ?
