hi, i just bought a uma rupia portuguese india 1912 . on close magnification it can be seen that 1 in 1911 has been replaced by 2 in 1912. But surprisingly these is no coin dated 1911 pertuguese india. can any one explain thanks
lot of 1912 coins found -important hi, it seems a lot / old collection of 1912 cpoin are sold in market causing the prices of thye coin 1912 uma rupia protuguese india going down from about Rs 4000 to Rs 2000. beware of prices when u buy thanks
you should learn more about coins before you buy them let alone build a website with inaccurate information
thanks for ur advise sir, I am a british india coin collector but was offered this coin at a low price. I had info that it is expensive as compated to other rupees of port india , so i bought it so than i can barter it for british india coins from a suitable person. But someone told me about 1912/11 . thats why i was enquiring. U must be big collector/expert . pl let me know the reason for 1912/11 coin when these is no coin dated 1911. thanks
the 1912/11 is a rare coin that is difficult to get in 65 or better. The coins were stamped 1911 and then changed to 1912 you can see that in the pic below if you look close to the 2 you will see the 1 protruding out
