Hi all, I have read that there were 3 types of 1 shah coins in 1992 and 5 types of 50 shahs inc. Bi-Metallic one. I know that the 3 types of 1 shah are 2 without year and one with 1992 and also I know that there is a different in the trident of the coins. can some one help me with pictures of these coins please I'm sure that there are pictures of these coins and show the difference between the coins. Shahiv was old denomination not used in 1992 era on up coinage, coins always called kopyiok or kopyiekii. There indeed are varieties of coinage from 1992 since they were made from different mint locations with different dies. I have found some of the varieties of the 1992-1994 era coinage in circulation including the 25 kopieka with smaller tryzub in the arms. Some of the coins released for circulation then were actually patterns and not intended to go into circulation. So far I have not yet found any from circulation that are very rare, but collectors look for them, only can I find the one worth about 10 hryven.
