Can anyone give me your thoughts on this coin... It looks really strange to me! The weight is 3.0 grams so its pre 82 i would assume. The date is badly worn but it looks like a 1930 to me... now heres the kicker... It has the Memorial on the Revers... Here are some crappy pics but i cant get anything better...

Could be a 1970, not sure. Cents minted 1959-1981 had the memorial reverse and had a weight of 3.11 grams, so there are a lot of dates it could be.

Do you have any idea why it would look like this? It has no detail left but it doesnt look like its just worn...

I would think some form of post-mint damage would be the culprit.

Could it possibly be a strike through of some sort?

The pictures aren't that good, but I can't think of a struck through that would affect both sides like that. It des not have the appearance of a struck through grease or struck through die cap, so my vote would be PMD.

    I don't really think so.

Keep Looking though. And keep asking.
