http://cgi.ebay.com/lot-of-62-silve...ryZ41103QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem one of-these coins is-not like the-others... la la la... ... and it's still not correct to call IT "silver"
Yea I think that oddball is definitally the silver one. The title is very missleading if not just out right wrong.
My guess is that he will get it yanked by eBay. You missed the shipping - $25. I just turned him in for excessive shipping.
It's possible he just doesn't know what they're made of. I've had some tellers that assumed Kennedy halves were made of silver. (And also that of the Ike's).
<SARCASM>Come on people, Crayola has a crayon called silver and you don't hear people screaming fraud about them. He's just describing the COLOR of the coins. </SARCASM> PS. You can also turn him in for the "I reserve the right to cancel auction if sold locally." as it can be construed that he is trying to skirt the ebay fees.
Well, I used the "Ask Seller" link to tell him that half dollars for the years he listed were copper-nickel cladding on copper centers, with no silver, and got this response: Anyone have the link for reporting phony listings?
Has anyone looked at the auction lately. He has revised it. If memory serves me right (it doesn't always), he lowered the price from $75 to $55 and he removed the word "silver" from both the title and description.
Congrats! The listing has been removed. hontonai: If he really answered you that way (not that I doubt you) --- then you should report him to eBay.
hotonai: Here are two that I found in an earlier thread: http://ads.auctionads.com/pagead/li...h5=default&bh6=default&history=default&rdir=0 and: http://ads.auctionads.com/pagead/li...Coins+&wftype=2022&userid=&pass=&redirected=1
Reports about closed/canceled listings are not possible. The form says "try again with a valid number"!
The best way to get a listing pulled in that case is to report it as circumventing fees, eBay will jump right on that. If you just report excessive shipping, they will " get around to it "
