I've never seen something like this.

Yes, that is their new (ugly) design.

 

I sent some $2.5 golds in for grading after they came out with this ugly new design, and thankfully they put mine in the old style labels.

I'm not real pleased with the new slab design. I'm sure NGC is losing a lot of sleep over that....

I actually like it - I think it gives them room to put attributions and other items w/o making the text too small to read.

Look up the coin in the database. Match the image. Is it a legit coin?

 

Got my first NGC slab this week with the new design. I think it could grow on me. Just hate anything reliable getting changed.

 

I haven't had this new design come through my foxy paws as of yet, but 80% of my slabbed coins seem to be NGC. I'm OK with this. I think it's a classy design going forward and won't be turned off on a coin by it.
