Ugliest coin of all time?

My vote goes to the current nickel. Why is this creepy old man staring at me? American coins should have silhouette portraits. Could they have found a less flattering picture of Jefferson? I hope the nickel gets a redesign soon.

I personally wouldn't call any particular coin "ugly"... my least favorite design, however, is the Liberty V nickel. It is just very unappealing IMO.

 

The Susan B. Anthony dollar is hideous. I've never seen a picture of Susan B. Anthony where she didn't look extremely creepy.

 

I like the nickel. I don't like the Eisenhower dollar.

 

Shoot, I don't think forward facing Jefferson is ugo...........

 

Since this is in Coin Chat not US Coins, I would like to submit a foreign coin

This one trumps them all. Sweet and dear individual, one would think the engraver could have done a little better job with the presentation.....

The engraver had her confused with Geronimo.

 

Would never have known based on the coin.

Also, I don't think the Anthony dollar is that bad.

I think the Susan B. is very disappointing, I love her as a figure in history. Great person! but her portrait on the coin is ... lacking. The Ike is also, to much empty space and a lack luster design. But the worst of all, I think, is the Native American dollar. There are so many magnificent N. A. women, yet the design on our coin is really sad, pudgy, stupid look on her face. humph. could have done so much better.

 

These aristocrats really need to do some
out-breeding.
