I was reading Bowers Red book US Gold coins (4-5th) time and it got me thinking, wouldn't it be fun to assemble a 1st year mint set in each denomination for grandkids to enjoy. Because of the extensive branches, coining processes and all facets of the coining process detailed in the book, got me thinking and could always expand to all the other mint for a mammoth set It really only consists of 6 coins 3- 06', 1 each 1911,12 and 1921 and I've budgeted $1000- $1200 to get AU/MS of each and was curious if any CT er's have one to share? Thanks for looking DB
I'm considering a similar type set using the Capitol holder designed for these. Just researching the prices and populations before undertaking this.
