hey, i got two sequential dollar bills, 2006 series from a friend of mine that knows i collect currency, and i was wondering if they are worth anything? they are extremely crisp. thanks, Mizozuman2
I would tend to say no, just because all the bills I ever get out of the atm are also sequential and crisp. But if you hold on to them for a while, they might be
Probably not, maybe down the line they will be worth a tiny bit more! If you go to most banks, and ask for a 100 stack of uncirculated bills, you can get them all in order usually.
Some serial numbers can help a note(s) carry a premium. Check out the Cool Serial Numbers web site for instance. What are the SNs? district? on your notes? Post some scans of your notes so we can see them. Try not to handle the notes with bare hands or the oils from your skin will transfer to the paper of the note. Keep them in currency sleeves to protect them if they are crisp and perhaps AU or better. Can't say anything yet about value until you provide more details, but I will say that being as new of Series as they are, that unless your SNs are something like we see on that site I linked to, then they are probably only worth face at this time.
i'm not sure what the serial numbers are, my mom just said that she got them out of the ATM, and they were very crisp and "the number thingys were one after another" (what my mom said). and she said she is keeping them from me until i can pay her back at the end of the week. so until then, i don't know the serial numbers.
Not very unusual, I've gotten the same thing getting cash out of the ATM, even with higher denominated bills. Right now, they're worth 2 dollars if combined in a purchase.
okay, i think ima hold on to them for a while, and hope the premium will go up a bit. thanks you guys for the help! Mizozuman2
Please start your question threads, such at this one, only when you have decent information (and usually, pics) to go along with your questions. We can sit here and imagine all kinds of questions and guesstimate replies until the cows come home, but without anything to go on, its a waste of time up to this point. As common as your, Mother's, new notes are, we still require details in order to help you understand more about the notes. You can continue to post all the pointless banter in GD as you have been doing for most of those 1000 first posts you were after, but let's try to use the other areas of the forum for what this forum is set up for discussing. So, we hope to help you when you help us by supplying the details requested, when you have that information. :thumb:
alright, when my mom gets home i shall ask her to see them when she gets home so i can get some scans of them, if i can get to a scanner, that is.
It would not be wise to scan bills at same size as real bill as you could be charged with counterfitting.
