IMG_0711.JPG IMG_0712.JPG IMG_0713.JPG IMG_0714.JPG I am not sure exactly what these coins are, would be nice for someone to tell me who what where when. Maybe show me the exact coin I have and facts on it. Much appreciated. Had these for a long time. What are they made of? What year?

Both coins are Chinese from the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795), undated, and made of brass. (Bottom coin, side with four Chinese characters is upside-down.) Top coin is from Suzhou mint in Jiangsu Province, mintmark on the bottom coin I'm not quite sure of. Hope this helps.

I'd say probably around 5 bucks a coin because they are worn I'd have to say. Not exactly sure but it's nothing rare

They are slightly scarcer than the usual Board of Revenue or Public Works in Beijing coins - being that they are from the provinces. Usually the very common ones go for about a quarter each if you can get that much for them. I have literally bought hundreds of them at a time so I can look for rares, older dynasties etc. Not a lot of people really get into early Chinese coins, well outside of China.

I was gonna send you some of those, if I still had any, since you mentioned liking "hole-in-the-middle" coins and I know I still owe you that promised giveaway package.

I really should be packaging up all the overdue giveaway stuff I've promised people in the last month and getting busy with that, instead of chatting around the boards all night.

But hey, I have now been awake for thirty hours, so you don't want me addressing mail in my current mental state. ;)

Promise I'll get around to doin' everybody's goodie packages soon (-ish), though.

By the time I get it all shipped, everyone will have forgotten all about the promised packages and so they'll end up being surprised. LOL
