Collection grew by 2 today as these arrived in the mail :)

Been a long - hard week with a nasty head cold I've been fighting all week, that poor boys funeral today, some friends who have had close losses, and some family struggles of our own - so this helped to cheer me up a bit. A couple other things hopefully coming my way in the next few days so it should help brighten my mood a bit...

Nice additions Darryl. I like the way the number match between the two notes. Back wards and forward. I saw a GEM BU 68 20 dollar note for sale the other day on the net with the number 66666656. I noticed you already have one of those notes in your collection. Hang in there.

    Thanks Lou! :)

If you ever see anything like that out on the net please let me know - if the price is right I never mind adding another to the collection. Wouldn't mind knowing where you saw that one - if you remember please send me a PM.

    Best Regards,

    Darryl

Just added this one minutes ago :) it was a held out of a recent purchase and it's the 8th note in a group of notes I had acquired. The other 7 are already posted on banknotes and a nice little group from Boston.

Garrett - these notes are part of a growing group of Binary 6's and 5's notes that now totals over 40 notes. You can see all but the last three by clicking on the link in my signature line. It's safe to say I never plan on selling them - my kids can do what they want with them after I am gone. I am glad you liked them...

    Best Regards

BTW thanks for spelling my name right. :D
Must people spell it with one T while it is spelled right there!

Sorry to hear about your bad week, Darryl. Tell ya what, though, those first two notes could be bookends. Very neat. Love 'em! :thumb:

Very nice notes there Daryl, I'm not sure how you can track down those 5s and 6s, but you do a good job. So, very nice!

    Darryl....

I recall the first notes you began with and now I look at your collection of notes and see passion for and from a part of your life you will never forget.
I am impressed with your dedication to enlist whatever source to find examples of this binary note collection that means so very much to you!
Congrats on two more excellent additions!!

Thanks RickieB - :) - it's been fun and interesting to put them together. Another Note I picked up some time back from a different seller is 110 notes apart from these two

and with OP pair someone had to pull two notes from a group of over a million to put them together. That's kind of cool in my book.

Every once in a while I start thinking about how many different combinations there are - what a set that would make :D And I'm certifiable - I know... :D

Hey, that sounds like a math problem! :D

Let's see here...there are 254 different possible serial numbers that contain only the digits 5 and 6. Or 256, if you want to include the solids 55555555 and 66666666 in the set.

Of course, your collection will probably end up far larger than that, since you've already got duplicates of several of these numbers....

I think I have at least 24 different combinations which is about half of what I have collected. 232 to go which probably means more like 500 at the rate I am collecting doubles. :D
