First up is a 1863 Saloon Token from John Schuh’s in NY. The obverse is designed to look like an Indian Head Cent and the reverse has the business information. It’s in very nice shape. Next is an Army and Navy token. It’s in nice shape as well.
One thing that I do especially like on the first token is the die sinkers "signature" under the bust. Roloff signed some of his work but not all. I think having a signature on a CWT is a nice touch. Bruce
It’s a nice touch, but Americans have objected to it when the designers did it on regular issue U.S. coins. The CWTs were different. For the designer, it was really sort of an advertisement to get more business.
