I just picked up two new (for me) CBHs which are needed varieties in the old BCBHDC. They're an 1823 and an 1826. Both are in VF/EF condition and were a little over $100 each -- LOL; FWIW decent coins are getting harder and harder to find... I'll post pics when they arrive. This one is actually an O-103 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150277001588 O-112A http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270260805873
Both nice coins , how many do you need to be a BHC member ? I have one , how many more do I need ? rzage
100 different varieties is the magic number for membership consideration; currently (with these two) I've got 145 halves and 134 different varieties. All types of Bust Half Dollars are counted, Flowing Hair, Draped Bust, and Capped (Turban) Bust Halves. Currently, I'm just waiting on the club membership for their okay/approval. Chuckle, as many here can attest, sometimes I'm very opinionated and passionate about my views, opinions, etc., definately not a 'Yes-Man..." -- With all 100 plus members voting, I'm surprised I made it this far. LOL... Take Care Ben
Only 99 more to go maybe my grankids can qualify , I'll be dead before I reach 20 , gotta love em , great designs lots of subtypes I've been looking for a few more types ,didn't realise it included Flowing hair & Draped bust still need 1 of each . rzage
Looks to me like you are more than half nuts, you're half crazy, or maybe half mad. you should start a new club! Just Joking CONGRATS!!!
I too have exactly 1 bust half. But with the fever perhaps setting in, I may get something going here.
Very nice coins Ben. I would not be suprised if both graded beter than listed. I was going to ask how the meeting went with the Bust Nuts club. I think they woud be "nuts" not to want you in.
I wish there was a way to bet on this because you are just about a sure thing. If you can't get in, then nobody else could possibly hope to make it.
That's the truth. The funny part is you wait and wait to get them, then admire and grade them, then toss them in the safe!!
Chuckle, waiting on coins to be delivered is something I've simply gotten used to... Believe it or not, we get mail only every-other day Mon-Wed-Friday and sometimes Saturday. They say we're too far out of town. Ben
