Here are my two latest purchases, an 1826 CBH; O-105 and a 1830 CBH; O-106. The pictures aren't the best, but for right now they'll have to do. Just wanted to share them with you.

    Take Care

Nice coins! What do you think caused that square discoloration on the 1826 - almost looks like it was taped at one time.

One possible explanation is an old tab style holder. Another would be a coin roll.

    Another nice addition.

How is the BHNC application going?

Thanks All for the comments. Frank, I'm still waiting to have a member of the BHNC check my attributions. Not until March, next year when I can get down to Denver and chat with Steve Herrman. Until then all I've got is 113 varieties and 122 coins... ;)

    Nice coins!
I've just recently gotten into collecting Bust halves. Are there any good reference books on the coin?

You just have to pick up Overton's Bust half book.

    I'll post a link in a sec.

    latest verison: http://cgi.ebay.com/U-S-Early-Half-...goryZ530QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That is the latest version by Don Parsley, Al Overton's son-in-law.

The earlier one, by Al Overton is also available.
Also, consider: Glenn Peterson's Ultimate Guide to Attributing Bust Half Varieties.
Also: Edgar Sounder's The Top 100 R-4 & R-5 Capped Bust half Varieties.

    One more to follow.

Bust Half Fever, by Sounders. The above link includes some reviews about the book.
