Went through two boxes of quarters I picked up from the bank Saturday. Found a 1958 in one box and a 1964 in another. Tons of 1965s...wish they were at least '64s. But I was really hunting for Homestead DDRs and die chips. Found 15 different die chips, a WDDR-005, WDDR-037 and WDDR-056 Homesteads, a 3 WDDR-006 Mt. Rushmores, 5 Homestead DDRs that are not listed on Wexler's site and I will send in along with what could be a DDO double ear North Carolina quarter. I will post pics of the new Homesteads in the errors forum. Traded my two boxes yesterday for two new boxes of quarters to go through. They love me at my bank and don't mind me dumping them back there when I am done. Found some other interesting what could be DDRs on the Kisatchie quarter (there were tons of those in the rolls) but am not sure if it's mint doubling or a true DDR on the bird's claws. Those of you not as well-connected as keemao, try a little psychology. Make sure the tellers know that if they get a "funny-looking" dime, quarter, or half, lay it aside until your next visit, and you will buy them all, including foreign coins, "...so their books will balance!" Tellers under 50, any silver coin will "look funny..."

I'll tell you what helps with a good relationship at the bank. First, I have been going there for years. But especially during the summer I make a killer zucchini bread with walnuts and dark chocolate in it and take two loaves to the bank for them to eat. They love it and are always happy when I drop some off. In a couple weeks I will be heading to Calif. for a few days and hit the Long Beach coin show for a day. I will bring about 3 pounds of Sees candies home with me and take a pound to the bank for them to eat. How can they ever complain about me bringing back the boxes of quarters? As long as you don't abuse it and aren't ordering thousands of dollars every week and then dumping them on them, and you kiss a little butt, it goes a long way.

Thats pretty good for quarters, I quite doing quarters unless I know a bag that filled at the bank has some old stuff in it, my average is 44 silver quarters this year per bag because ive only done one bag lol. Normally it seems to be 1 silver per $3000 searched.
