Turtle & Bull Rechenpfennig

    Dug up by my friend in Gelderland - Netherlands , a german rechenpfennig , these were used to make calculations on a soçalled Abacus table.(picture)

    The Abacus was a greek invention from the 5th C.BC , the old greeks used little bone and Ivory discs,
    This method died out at the end of the 17th Century in Europe, pen and paper took over.
