Dug up by my friend in Gelderland - Netherlands , a german rechenpfennig , these were used to make calculations on a soçalled Abacus table.(picture) The Abacus was a greek invention from the 5th C.BC , the old greeks used little bone and Ivory discs, This method died out at the end of the 17th Century in Europe, pen and paper took over. Any CT members with Rechenpfenningen ? Please show them.
