I just saw this from Coinstar http://www.coinstar.com/us/html/2009Promo

You can turn in $40 in coins and get $50 in gift certificates. If you regularly shop at any of these stores this is a nice little profit when you turn in your coins.

    Amazon
    Borders
    Cabelas
    Eddie Bauer
    iTunes
    JCPenny
    Lowes
    Old Navy
    Overstock.com
    Regal Entertainment Group
    Starbucks
    Rixty

I have turned in coins for Amazon and iTunes before and you get a code at the bottom of your receipt to enter online at that site to get your credit. The last time they did a promo like this you filled out a form also at the bottom of your receipt and mailed it in. A few weeks later you got a $10 gift card in the mail to the same place your original gift card/code was for.

I often wonder what the owner of those machines actually find. It would be a ton of work but I have to think they do some searching before depositing them wouldn't they?
