According to Krause 2008, the 10000 lira piece with the head of Ataturk is minted - from 1994 to 1997 on a 9.75 g Copper-nickel-zinc planchet with an edge inscription of TURKIYE CUMHURIYETI (KM 1027.1) - from 1998 to 1999 on a 6.92 g Copper-nickel-zinc planchet with an edge inscription of TC and a sort of reeded edge (KM 1027.2) - In 1998 an error was made which resulted in 6.92 g Copper-nickel-zinc planchet with an edge inscription of TC TC TC and a sort of reeded edge (KM 1027.3) While I was researching a collection I found the piece 1027.1 of 1997, but I also found a piece with following characteristics: - dated 1997 - 6.92 g Copper-nickel-zinc planchet - edge inscription of TC and a sort of reeded edge Any one that has similar pieces in his collection? Any one that can share information on this piece or can check his 2011 edition fot KM1027? I already checked www.numismaster.com but didn't find any clues there... Thanks very much in advance for your help!
Don't have the latest KM; my other catalog (Schön) says there are two types: (1) 9.75 g, edge "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", 1994-1997 (2) 6.75 g, edge "TC" (6x), 1997-2001 This is what the Turkish Mint has: http://www.darphane.gov.tr/en/content.php?parent_id=853&content_id=1353 Unfortunately they list the first year of issue only, not the time span.
