AJ just called. He said to say hi to all!!! Business was slow today but that the show normally runs that way. He is expecting it to be better tomorrow.
Hey Gang My wireless actually works !! A slow but steady day, some retail collector traffic, a bit of biz traffic, but was able to help a CT'er with a wantlist. Most folks were working today, with the weekend I expect a better day tommorow. We were busier than my neighbors tho.
Fresh back from Tucson. Had a fantastic show, I'll get to a report soon, busy and behind, my wireless went down Friday night and I have a ton of catching up to do. Scored some truly primo Lincolns, and took a cpl nice coins in trade, and a bunch of oddball's I'll try to pass on the the CT'ers here at good prices, thing's I don;t normally mess with like some PCGS 32-d and S quarters, etc, better stuff. Show was slow for alot of folks, but we were busy non stop on Saturday and sold a bunch, including a primo SVDB 64RB on Sunday just as I was packing up. Report to follow, I'm tired, hungry and tired.
AJ, you must have the magic touch. What do you do that the other dealer don't? Glad everything went well for you.
Hey Jack. Is your website still up? I've been trying for weeks to access it with no luck. Just curious. Guy~
Just guessing, but I would say good product at fair prices. The last show I went to I heard a dealer mention how slow sales were and I wanted to tell him to check his prices, they were some of the highest at the show.
Ok, SEMI caught up. We were busy because the Lincoln collectors were out in force. They were tight, but right lol. Smart buyers looking for choice coins. Many dealers with not so nice coins sat and watched. For the first time, I made ( profit ) my show costs and then some. I usually look at show as a buying trip, but we sold plenty. I will post some new coins that I brought home with me, and a cpl that are gone already. My favorite thing to do at a show is hit the floor early and buy up the competion, in otherwords cherry picking the best material before the other dealers get the chance. We wan't those choice Lincolns in our case, lol. This is my fav show purchase, a super primo 21-S. If you know this date, you know that strikes usually suck and the come real mushy. Excuse my pics, they were taken with a handheld, I'll get better pics later. This coin rocks: NGC 64RB
A few more goodies including an PCGS AU-58 32-S quarter, exactly the type that Lehigh posted about, the elusive " AU-64". It was at my table about all of 15 minutes. I picked up the 64* Battle Creek Morgan for a CT-er, ( guess who lol ) The last pic is of me on Sunday morning, a bit hungover and looking a tad rough, lol.
Here is a pic of Rick Snow, you all know who he is I am sure. A true greast person and a friend of mine. An icon in the hobby and a fun poker player, lol. Next pioc is of Charmy Harker, the " Penny Lady " . She went with Rick and I and my local buddy here to the casino. I have included a link to her site, she is a great sourch of information and another person to consider when you foks are searching out high end Lincolns, Indians and Flying Eagles. A true class act and one sharp lady !! http://coincents.com/
Sounds like the show went well, good to hear. I've met both of these people at shows, they are friendly folks and they have some excellent IHC varieties.
Im the guy on the end with all the chips, lol. Charmy and Rick are to MY left. My new helper is to MY right.
