Hey guys i joined up to this forum because i found a coin lying on the ground and know absolutely nothing about it. If asnyone has any idea of what kind of coin or its orgins so i could further research it that would be great. And it would also be wonderful to know what if anything its worth. Thank you very much for your help in advance!

I don't think it is an actual coin, but a medallion. Probably used as an ornament ?

We need more info like weight and diameter.

It looks like a sestertius with a bust of Marcus Aurilius, year 179 AD.

In that condition, if real, worth a couple of hundered.

    details:
Marcus Aurelius AE Sestertius. M AVREL ANTONI-NVS AVG TR P XXXIII, laureate head right / FELICITA-S AVG IMP X COS III P P S-C, Felicitas standing left with caduceus & sceptre. Cohen 186. RIC 1239. http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/marcus_aurelius/i.html

    Where did you find it?

k9brain is correct, it is a sestertius of Marcus Aurelius, RIC III 1239. But unfortunately it looks like a cast fake.
