    1. I probably got this one wrong but Edward VIII was though to have no coins struck or issued but some have been found and authenticated.
    2. Army paymaster Captain Greener
    3. The Plantagenet Monarchs with Richard III being the last monarch of this dynasty
    4. Lancaster, Liverpool, Manchester, Rochdale
    5. Sterling (pound) the denomination was represented by a like kind number of sheep, 1 sheep = 1 pound and so on

    It will be interesting to see the answers. (I have a pretty large collection of Monarch coinage along with the tokens and notes in your questions) Definitely not a walk in the park quiz.

    not quite right but you have got the rarest token, i have one of only 12 known examples. for number 5 technically correct but there was another currency used on the notes...which is the one i am looking for

    Hah; I thought I typed "Preston" instead of "Birmingham", sorry.
    I don't know much about tokens, anyway. I'm still curious about question 5, though.

    thanks to those taking part especially gviking who named arguably one of the rareset english tokens from HALSALL according to my local coin society there are only 12 known examples one of which i have in my collection..

    so for that reason only i name gviking as the winner by default and he will recieve as a prize 4 mint state world bank notes.
