    In this "TRIVIA" you'll read about and see some of India's commemorative coins honoring people (heroes, leaders, politicians and Saints):


    In 1969 the mints of India at Bombay, Calcutta and Hyderabad produced coins to celebrate the birth of Mahatma Ghandi in 1869 (Centennial). The coins were to bear the dates 1869 (birth) and 1948 (death).
