How would you like to see the year 2000 coins of the Countries which lie in North Central Europe? I mean these: Belgium, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands?
    BELGIUM

    Bronze 50 Centimes

Many collectors don't know some Belgium coins were minted bearing the Legend in French, "Belgique" while the Dutch "Belgie" was also minted. Both versions of the Bronze 50 Centimes were struck in 2000. Another little-known numismatic tidbit: both versions were struck in coin alignment and medal alignment (medal alignment scarcer). Coins in photos may not be dated 2000, but will be indicative of the type:

Where I can, I'll provide coin photo links to both Legend Versions and Mintages:

60,000 of this "Belgique" 50 Centimes (1st struck in '58) were struck NCLT for sets:

    Nickel 50 Francs Commemoratives

500,000 each (French and Dutch spellings) were minted (some with coin alignment - some with medal alignment). I have only a French version photo to show you. The Dutch version is the same except for "Belgie" instead of "Belgique." Both honored "European Soccer Championships." "Albert II" on obverse and "Soccer Ball" on reverse:

The Netherlands has been minting Gold (over a century) and Silver (since 1989) Ducats Trade Coinage.

In 2000 two Gold Ducats and one Silver Ducat were produced.

One Gold (.1106 oz. AGW) Ducat (8,000 proofs struck) and the other (.2209 AGW) one (7,000 proofs struck) both feature a knight with left leg bent, and date on obverses while a decorated square with four lines of text adorns reverses.

The Silver (40mm .7948 oz. ASW) Ducat (10,100 Proofs) bears the Netherlands Crowned Arms on obverse and Knight standing before the Arms of Overijssel on its reverse.

Thank you for reading this Trivia. I hope you enjoyed it. Please comment, post addendums, suggest corrections or post photo links for coins I couldn't find.
