This post on Glory and Horse 5 brings us to tokens. I found this German baptismal token which uses "Glory" of a dove. It is a Taufducat (ducat token) struck in Nurnberg during the 18th Century (please read text, Click image to view an enlargement): Courtesy of Coin Archives: http://www.coinarchives.com/w/results.php?results=500&search=Radiant+and+token The following exunomia items are "Horse/s" Tokens: 1. http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=299394&AucID=219&Lot=4538 2. http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=139689&AucID=110&Lot=920 3. http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=125526&AucID=103&Lot=1183 4. http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=125542&AucID=103&Lot=1200 5. http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=125510&AucID=103&Lot=1167 6. I hope it will earn your interest and your "thanks..." If you have a token with "Glory" or a "Horse" on it and think it should have been included in this posting, please post a photo of it... Clinker
Interesting concept. I never thought of collecting coins with horses, turtles, penguins or bells or coins that have certain words etc. If you did that, I guess it would be an interesting collection for you. It certainly would keep you busy finding them andthen eventually trying to purchase them. That first Glory coin, is it gold? or an alloy of sorts? Most appear to be commemoratives rather than coins. You sure did a lot of research to find all those! Good job.
To Haleiwa: All are tokens. Coins are in "Glory and Horse/s 3," and medals are in "Glory and Horse/s 4." More coins Tuesday... Clinker
