    A Swedish Riksdaler

The year was 1731. The Country is Sweden. The constitutional monarch in 1731 was Frederick IX (Fridericus IX). The coin is a 1731 Silver Riksdaler. Actually two different Riksdalers were issued that year; One bearing a single bust of Frederick IX on the obverse and one featuring Frederick and his wife, Ulrika Eleonora, on its obverse. The reverses are different too. Photos courtesy of coinpage.com and The Riksbank, Sweden:
