This looks like machine tripling, doesn't it? I've seen doubling that looked similar, but never saw tripling. Most of the obverse of this 1922-P Peace dollar is tripled.
Actually it doesn't look like mechanical doubling to me. The edges in most of your pics appear to be rounded and it looks like a couple of them that notching can be seen at the serifs. Could be wrong though - I'm not an error guy.
