But he keeps denying the truth. He's trying to reel in an idiot buyer. Either that or he really is that thick headed. I sent him pics and everything. He just responded in a condescending manner. Please report him. This is NOT a large letters Overton 114. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1830-50-Large-Letters-Half-Dollar-Overton-114-BU-rainbow-toned/123215331257?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160908105057&meid=e6e990feeda24a2a95e4d2bb8f96e0ba&pid=100675&rk=1&rkt=15&sd=123215331257&itm=123215331257&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci:b08a3c93-79ae-11e8-8ef4-74dbd1800cc2|parentrq:3efde0381640ad4a480b7994fff87f80|iid:1&redirect=mobile
Estate sale Gonna send it in for grading It will grade MS64. Then it will be worth $47,000. But since I’m a real nice guy you can have it for $17,000. Does this guy really think we’re that stupid????????
So once they clear up the violations for the listing and they asked 20,000.00 dollars . Then what ? It should also come with a tax write off too .
If he lists it again for what it's not, then we report it again. It happens a 3rd time, they'll suspend his account. Simple.
I mean no disrespect to anyone on this thread . I just know when I read " sale for charity " I know a 20 pair of sneakers can sell for 20,000.00 dollars . Why ? It's for charity ..
The coin was raw and listed for over $2500, and a specific grade was listed. Two major violations that got it taken down.
You're absolutely right, and auctioneers love to see bidding wars that raise prices to atmospheric, even stupid, levels. But that's assuming the bidders know exactly what they're bidding on. From what I gather here, the coin in question was misrepresented, so, charity or no, it's right to have it taken down. If the seller relists and correctly describes the coin, then let the bidding commence and we'll all hope he raises as much as possible for his charity of choice.
