The ancient Tree of Life, known as Menorah seems a little bit original on obverse of this coin. The legend looks probably ancient Hebraic, with reverse showing a tree bearing pomegranates. It weighs 1.45 g. Please post a comment if you have.
The only ancient Jewish coins depicting a menorah are those of Mattathias Antigonus (40-37 B.C.) the last Hasmonean king of Judea. These are highly sought after and much reproduced. I don't have one but it looks like this: Edit to add: If you have the funds: ROMA XIX
Thanks a lot to all of you. I learned that I have to keep this precious gem, even though it's a reproduction. The "genuine" value is beyond imagination as seen by the Link ROMA XIX offered by coin-friend dadams.
