A gentleman called Forrest Fenn hid a chest filled with 20.2 Troy ounces of gold and 256 gold coins... mostly American eagles and double eagles, among other things.
He hid this chest somewhere in the Rocky Mountains and wrote a poem that contains 9 clues that if followed precisely will lead you right to the chest. The best part is he says if you find it you can keep it. Is there any way to estimate the value of the coins without knowing the dates? He says the numismatic value far outweighs the gold value.

Here is a video on the treasure hunt and the map of the search area. Have any of you heard of this before? What are the legalities of finding a chest full of gold on BLM land or in a National Park if the owner is saying you find it and you can keep it? In the poem he says "I give you title to the gold".

Yup. The finn treasure. Its kind of legendary already. He wants to get people out of the house and off their phones. I believe someone died a year or two ago in search of it and thought he was thinking of pulling it

He is not ending it. He says it is still out there waiting to be found but he won't say how he knows that. Wouldn't those coins be nice to go through?
