My second coin. I like this despite the ragged edge. It has the door, the eagles and the full statue so that makes up for it. In addition, it looks to have some nice toning going on. Sadly, I am back on the wagon for a while. However, if I can buy a couple of coins like these every few months, I am happy. It certainly concentrates the mind
Great coin, keep it up. I have always been a happy go lucky guy, but I have been into coins since I was in grade 5, and love it more as time goes on. As much as I like all coins from 650BC and up, ancients/medieval hold a special place in my heart!
@>Pish. Any Trajan is good, but the 'Column' is Great! You have done very well, there. (The word 'envy' comes to mind.) Good on you. May your 'winning' ways continue.
Thanks guys. Hoping it might make the doormat on Tuesday, I am chuffed to bits with it, hoping it is even better in hand.
Don't get your knickers in a twist -- it's a Britishism. Interestingly, big cats (lions, tigers, leopards) will sometimes "chuff" to show contentment or pleasure, since they can't purr.
Lovely example Pish !!! I finally scored one of them several months ago, but yours is higher grade with greater detail.... Congrats!!!!
The ragged flan probably put it in my price range. Some of the legend on the obverse is very soft, but I really don't care. I was just glad to be able to get the whole column.
Wow, Firestarter => today, you're bringin' a couple of amazing coins (congrats, coin-sister) ... I hope that you're having a nice Saturday night, my coin-friend Cheers
I won the auction, roaring fire, glass of wine, Game of Thrones box set, and oh, did I mention, I won the auction
