Hmmm. I recommend checking forum. They have a ton of resources to help you learn to spot fakes. Like very well written essays, fake sellers list, and whenever I make a large (small to most) dollar purchase I cross check it through their data base of known fakes of the type. As is, I don't think it is "fake". But does look possibly tooled. At least to this rookies eyes. Trajan is one of my favs. A true, beat on your chest, man's man.
I agree. Check Forum. Stylistically, the coin looks fine. I'm pretty certain that the patina is faked, but that doesn't mean the coin itself is.
