I'd lean towards fake, because raw trade dollars scare me (as they should scare anyone). However, with these small pictures, it is hard to tell if it is fake or just cleaned/polished, and that is what makes it look weird. Definitely cleaned, either way. The lettering/numbering on the reverse looks quite weird, which is why I lean towards fake.
Definitely fake. Proportions are all wrong. Angle of the eagle is wrong. Letters are crudely stamped or struck. Poor detail rendition. Grainy surfaces. Poor to medium Beijing issue.
I think it may be one of China’s better efforts but the cartoonish details of Lady Liberty’s hands and foot scream phony to me.
How about the pointy boob? Laughable! The back ground behind Ms. Liberty's foot? On the genuine coin is that supposed to be water? On the fake it looks like a brick wall.
I informed the auctioneer about our observations and suggested he remove the lot. Lets see how this plays out... If anyone wants to help: https://www.auctionninja.com/recoll...er-trade-dollar-au55-beautiful-coin--629.html
Definitely REAL!!!! /jk (which is why the only Trade Dollar I have came in an NGC slab, I can't tell with these)
