I have 1876 Trade Dollar minted in San Francisco. It is in a good condition and it has two errors. It has 180 degree die rotation error and the eagle side of the coin is double printed. I couldn't find any information on coin like this one and would appreciate any info. I would like to know how much it is worth. Even the price range would be nice to know.
    Thanks,

    Speedy,

My camera doesn't allow me to take a nice picture of the coin. Let's assume it is authentic, how much would it cost and are there any known coins like this one?

If I remember correctly, a 180 degree die rotation is one of the first clues that its a fake.

Is it just my bad eyesight or is that some form of doubling on the rev. below "TRADE DOLLAR"?

I'm sorry to tell you this but I think its a fake...

    The date looks too high
The whole coin looks uneven (Sp?) and looks to have air bubbles in it (I think that points to a cast copy)
    and the rim looks funny...

The whole coin looks odd like a fake but I'm not sure.

I agree with Speedy. The coin looks highly questionable.

I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure Speedy and the others are right. l The surface has somewhat of a grainy look, typical of a casting.

How much does the coin weigh? 420 grains of .900 silver is 27.216 grams, and the Mint was pretty persnickety about planchet weight for that series. With the amount of apparent wear on yours, if genuine it will weigh between 27.15-27.2 grams. If you don't have a gram scale, check it on a postal scale, where it should weigh just a tiny bit less than one ounce.

What is the diameter? A genuine piece is 38.1mm - not 38 and not 38.2!
