I was at the TOREX show today in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I picked up some great notes and I thought I'd share some of them with you guys. Feast your eyes on these:eat: 1937 $10 bill 1937 $20 bill
Of course! Well first I'll start out with all the 1937 notes. These notes are the first issue to be bilingual featuring English and French, the two official languages of Canada. These notes are the normal size as most canadian/us current notes. On the $10 and $20 the portrait is of King George VI and on the $100 it is of Sir John A. Macdonald. The $10 reverse is focused on transportation (ships trains and planes) with a Mercury in the center. The $20 reverse is focused on fertility, the woman also has a sickle in her hand. The $100 reverse is focused on commerce and industry. It shows a man showing a ship to a child in the center. For the 1979 $20 they moved the serials to the back of the notes for the first time. It has Queen Elizabeth II on the front and Moraine lake, Alberta on the back.
Thanks, did not know any of that. I thought I liked the $10 the most, but fertility with a sickle has me thinking.
theyare all very cool! I love the designs. .. makes me think ABNCo even though you can see they arent.... still very nice designs on them older notes!!!
