I was just reading a post and it got me thinking. For the people just getting into the hobby. Heres a list of items I use and need for collecting coins. Please anyone add your insight. 1: Coin books. RED BOOK A MUST even if you think your to good for one. At least a new one every few years. 2: Digital Scale. Very helpful detecting a fake. 3: Caliper. Very helpful detecting a fake. 4: Loop. At least a 10x 18mm. 5: Microscope. With a Digital camra to hook up to the computer is a nice plus. 6: None PVC flips. Or something along those lines such as 2x2s or air tights. 7: Safe storage. Dry 8: I'm sure I forgot something SANDPAPER, HAMMER AND CHIZZEL! Just kidding
8. Never clean a coin unless it 1. needs it or 2. You know how to do so and what to do. Sure there are many more too, just can't think of them at the moment. Good tips you posted man. :thumb: Phoenix
