I was just reading a post and it got me thinking. For the people just getting into the hobby.

Heres a list of items I use and need for collecting coins. Please anyone add your insight.

1: Coin books. RED BOOK A MUST even if you think your to good for one. At least a new one every few years.

2: Digital Scale. Very helpful detecting a fake.

3: Caliper. Very helpful detecting a fake.

    4: Loop. At least a 10x 18mm.

5: Microscope. With a Digital camra to hook up to the computer is a nice plus.

6: None PVC flips. Or something along those lines such as 2x2s or air tights.

    7: Safe storage. Dry

    8: I'm sure I forgot something

SANDPAPER, HAMMER AND CHIZZEL! Just kidding

    8. Never clean a coin unless it 1. needs it or 2. You know how to do so and what to do. :D Sure there are many more too, just can't think of them at the moment. :D Good tips you posted man. :thumb:
