Too Many Coins

    Dear Sirs:

Every anniversary seems to need a coin. The Treasury is bombarding the collectors. Grading services have us chasing different

color labels. They need a label with a can of Drano on it. Other countries send their coins because we will buy them and their

citizens cannot afford them. When you try to sell your coins no one will pay a decent price. When silver hits fifty-dollars people

go nuts and melt everything and the price drops to thirty. Small investors get eaten alive in the metal markets.

    Thank you...Robert Winters

I was going to say, to many coins...impossible. But then I read what your post and I completely agree. There is no way (or no reason) to collect every mint product. It has become necessary to focus your collection into a category. My yearly collection consists of a roll of each business strike coin from each mint, five of each silver and clad proof sets, five of each business strike and proof ASE, and the set of business strike and proof spouse coins (I'm going down with the ship on that one, but I like em). I would love to add some of the special coins, and sometimes I do, but there is no way to collect one of each thing that the mint produces.
