Dear Sirs: Every anniversary seems to need a coin. The Treasury is bombarding the collectors. Grading services have us chasing different colored labels. They need a label with a can of Drano on it. Other countries send their coins because we will buy them and their citizens cannot afford them. I am seriously considering a new hobby because when you try to sell your coins no one gives you a fair price. When silver hits fifty-dollars people melt everything and it drops to thirty. Small investors get eaten alive in the metal markets. Thank you...Robert Winters
If you're a hobbiest then all that shouldn't matter to you. I could care less what silver or gold is doing, how the market is doing, or if I ever sell a single coin today of 100 years from now. Thats not what hobbiest do, thats what speculators do. Guy
Once I began collecting again, I wanted to own everything! It took me a while to focus...I think it's happened to all of us.
Got that right! Sometimes while collecting coins you really need to be focused or you will feel overwhelmed. You can't possibly make a profit from everything you buy but if you're careful then most of the time you will be able to support your coin collecting habit. Sometimes, that's as good as it get. :thumb: Either you accept it or you change your game plan.
