My friend gave me a plaque that says first issue John F Kennedy Center for the performing arts Washington DC. It has a 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar and the plaque needed some attention so I took the half dollar off as well as the description and will be redoing that shortly. In the meantime I wanted to share with you photos from the Obverse and Reverse of the coin to show you the toning on the reverse. I could not get the toning captured in its entirety
unless I only took a photo of the coin so here is what I have. Photos taken with a new iPad six.

Adverse reverse leads to great convers(ation). Soak it in some hardware store grade acetone and see what develops.

The obverse is no good. Black. The reverse is what is stopping me. It's on it's way to being black but it has some amazing purple in it that I just can't capture with the camera. I know what's gonna happen. I'll end up dipping it and getting rid of the whole lot.

    Carefully dip just the obverse
