Lady Liberty's probably just pressing her body up against the front of the holder really, really hard, and that's what's making her look so flattened out and shiny. And then there's the reverse. (Click on the image to see its full glory.) This, folks, is why we had to list the Bald Eagle as an endangered species. Too many people spraying them with buckshot!
Did anyone read the Disclaimer "CLEANING: Most of the coins we offer are 50 to 200 years old and will probably have been cleaned in some fashion over their lifetime. Our Macro photos show a detailed condition of the property offered for sale - but not the cleaning history." Hmm makes you wonder why they put that there.
