It looks like what you have here is a steel cent someone plated with copper as an attempt to pass it off as the rare 1943-D copper cent, of which there is only one known example. Coins like the one in the pictures are often treated as novelties and can actually bring a couple of dollars compared to a normal, unplated Steel cent worth around 20 to 50 cents.
