I'm not particularly a toned coin fan, but I thought this was pretty nice.
Not my pic but it IS my coin...

Totally gorgeous! Who cares what it grades when it looks that artistic?

NGC proof 67. It was $50 but something about it caught my eye.

    Thanks for the nice comments!

Definitely a good buy. Just picked up a 71 silver Ike raw, with golden toning, that is probably a 66 or 67 (looks nicer than the photograph). Paid $31.00, and I will be sending it off. So you did well.

Nice coin, did that come out of one of those brown boxes?

No, it was album toned. I got it from a family selling off a whole collection, and this was the nicest.

I think he was referring to my addy as Morgandude. Yeah, both of those coins are IKes, and pretty ones! :) :)

I wonder if Ngc will grade Brown box Ike in the holder's yet like the GSA???
I am wait for answer for Anacs about the same question.
I like to get all 4 graded in the holders but this 1973-S has toned the best of all 4.

I have not heard anything concrete about "Brown Ike" in box grading, like NGC did with the GSA Morgans, but it is heavily rumored. Give them a call--have a feeling that the market for Brown Ikes (which is already pretty good) will heat up if NGC does original in-box grading.
